The IP address of each device is located after the "inet" character.

If you're not sure which device it is, you can check out the most commonly used device that connects to the "eth0" port, which is the first network adapter identified by the system. If you only want to see the "eth0" information, please enter the ip addr show eth0 command. Method 4: enter terminal commands in Unix, Unixish, and some Linux versions

* * enter command: / sbin/ifconfig. * * large pieces of network information will be displayed in the terminal.

If there is an error message indicating that you lack administrative privileges, please enter sudo / sbin/ifconfig. If you are using a Solaris system or other Unix version, you need to enter * * / sbin/ifconfig-aversions * to display information about multiple devices. If a message appears indicating that the command is invalid, you can refer to the instructions above for entering terminal commands in the latest version of Linux.

After "inet adr", find the IP address of each device listed.

If there is too much information for you to find the IP address, you can enter * * / sbin/ifconfig | less to reduce the amount of information displayed, or type / sbin/ifconfig | grep 'inet addr:'** to display only the IP address. If you are not sure which device you are looking for, the device you are looking for is most likely connected to the port "eth0", the first recognizable local connection. To display only the information for the "eth0" port, enter the command / sbin/ifconfig eth0. Method 4: other terminal commands (Ubuntu, Unix and Linux systems)

Open the terminal.

Enter the following command: hostname-I (capital I, the initials of Idaho in Idaho).

If you have an active single interface, you can see an IP address (without any other characters) in the interface. As follows:
