Prometheus 2.12.0 has now been released (2019.08.17), and some revisions and improvements have been made since 2.11.0 last month.

In the current six-week release cycle, each Prometheus release has fewer features, but releases are more regular. The most striking feature in this release is that if Prometheus crashes the next time it starts, it will print the running PromQL, which helps you find expensive queries.

TSDB has a lot of performance improvements in memory, and a prometheus_tsdb_retention_limit_bytes metric has been added. Although independent of the user, the TSDB repository has been merged into the Prometheus main repository on GitHub. This will make our life as developers easier.
