Launch an instance, select the first_local_net network on the "Networking" tab page.

Instance was successfully deployed with an assigned IP address of 172.16.1.3

Underlying network change

For instance "cirros-vm1", Neutron creates a port in subnet, assigns IP and MAC addresses, and assigns port to cirros-vm1.

A port "(fa7e090e-a29c)" is added to the port list, and the IP is 172.16.1.3. Click the port name to view the MAC information:

When cirros-vm1 starts: 1. The neutron-linuxbridge-agent on the host creates a tap device based on port information and connects to bridge 2. 0, where the local network is located. At the same time, the tap will be mapped to the virtual network card of cirros-vm1, namely virtual interface (VIF).

Cirros-vm1 is deployed to the control node to view the configuration of bridge through brctl show.

You can see that a new tap device, tapfa7e090e-a2, is connected to the bridge brqbb9b6d21-c6. Tapfa7e090e-a2 corresponds to port "(fa7e090e-a29c)" from the name.

The virtual machine instance-00000001 shown in virsh list is "cirros-vm1", which is named differently, which should be noted. Check the configuration of cirros-vm1 through the virsh edit command and confirm that VIF is tapfa7e090e-a2

In addition, the MAC address of VIF is fa:16:3e:c1:66:a5, and this data is taken from port "(fa7e090e-a29c)".

Execute ifconfig in cirros-vm1, and confirm that eth0 corresponds to tapfa7e090e-a2 through the MAC address.
