Dell server iDRAC reset, forgot password

Environment: Dell R630 server (also applicable to R720, R730, R620, R420, R530)

Problem: Dell R630 server iDRAC forgot the password.

Description: the default iDRAC account password of the 13th generation machine is: root/calvin. The default iDRAC account of the 14th generation machine is root. The password is on the back [iDRAC password] of the small pull card in front of the machine.

Both generations of machines reset passwords in the same way:

Resolution steps:

1. When booting, F2 enters BIOS and selects DRAC settings.

2. Select user configuration to change the password in this interface.

3. Select enabled, output the password in change password, click Back, and enter the password again. After the modification, restart the server, and you can log in to the idrac interface with this password.

4. Enter the idrac login interface.

5. Log in to the idrac interface and reset the password successfully.
