Today, the company launched the Oppo A57 5G, which brings eye-catching specifications at an affordable price. It has a budget of 5G SoC, but at least it is more suitable for 2022 than other devices with old chipsets.

The Oppo A575G brings MediaTek Tianji 810, which can replace MediaTek's Tianji 700SoC. It has a higher clock speed and a more efficient 6 nm architecture. The phone is paired with the basic versions of 6 GB RAM and 128 GB. However, there is also an option with 8 GB RAM. Interestingly, while many companies still insist on using 4 GB RAM as the base model, Oppo offers high-RAM products. In any case, the 6 GB RAM variant has faster UFS 2.2 storage. To bring in an 8-GB RAM, the company cut back on storage space using the UFS 2.1 standard. If you need more storage space, you can also put in the micro SD card.

The phone features a 6.56-inch LCD screen with a water drip slot. The screen is HD+, with a resolution of only 1612 x 720 pixels. The good part is that the panel refreshes at a frequency of 90 Hz. This may not sound like a big deal in 2022, but there are still some phones with 60 Hz panels, especially in the budget section. The monitor also provides a wide range of color gamut, with about 100% sRGB coverage in natural mode and 100% DCI-P3 coverage in bright mode. The brightness remains the same at the typical brightness of 480 nits.

In terms of optics, mobile phones have not changed much. The Oppo A57 5G offers a simple camera setup with a 13 MP main camera on the back and an aperture of fhand 2.2. There is also a 2 MP depth sensor to help take portraits. The notch can be used as a home for an 8-MP selfie camera with a fram 2.0 aperture. The upper limit of video recording is 1080p, 30 frames per second.

The Oppo A57 5G can run the Android 12 operating system directly, which is another bright spot. It draws energy from a 5000 mAh battery. However, the charging limit is 10 W, which is much lower than the current normal level. The phone has stereo speakers, USB Type-C and a 3.5mm headphone Jack.
