LG Velvet is upgrading Android 12

The software support continues to provide the latest news. According to 9To5Google, LG is upgrading its high-end mid-range phones to Android 12 in 2020. So far, OTA is only available for phones in South Korea, but will eventually enter other markets.

Unfortunately, LG has not fully overhauled its software. Based on the Korean version of the software, LG skin remains almost unchanged. While this is true, the company has added some popular features to Android 12.

For beginners, the power menu will get a lock button that locks the screen and requires a password to unlock it. In addition, position options will now include approximation and precision options.

The main application permission options will also enter Velvet. The phone now displays an indicator light when the application uses a camera or microphone. In addition, when an application is not in use for a while, the system automatically removes its permissions.

Beyond that, the software doesn't seem to have changed any more. Unfortunately, those who hold their breath for dynamic colors will be disappointed. This is a scoundrel, but this is understandable. These may be some of the final updates we will get before support drops. After that, the LG phone will officially die.
