As mentioned above, when EPO is installed, it should be noted that this article mainly talks about the deployment of ENS---the EPO mentioned above is McAfee's unified management platform, ENS is McAfee terminal anti-virus, which needs to be carried on EPO before deployment.

ENS was called VSE before version 10.0, and was integrated and revised after version 10.0, integrating Firewall, Web control, Threat prevention(original VSE module);

ENS compared to the previous VSE, not only because the product needs to be updated, but also has the following two improvements:

Architecture consolidation improves performance and friendliness

Enhance safety protection capabilities

Environment: Windows server 2008R(server, EPO 5.9 installed), Windows 7(client), because ENS10 does not support some versions, so try to install the more popular version.

Before installation, a task to update the master repository needs to be created on EPO to be able to update the required packages.

Then you need to generate an installation package on EPO now and send it to the client that needs to install ENS; when generating the installation package, there are several points that need to be noted:

First in the system tree species, find the new system, select "Create and download agent installation package"

Whether to embed account information in the package, this is when the client does not have the response permission to install the software package, you need to enter credentials here in advance, and then send it to the client without permission to install it.

However, this operation requires downloading the embedded package when downloading the package, and importing it into EPO together with the normal package.// This is just an example and needs to be downloaded according to the current version.

In addition, you can make a proxy package for a client separately according to your needs.

After distribution, wait for the client to install and send a response message to the server.

Next, start to deploy tasks. In the system tree species, select the assigned client task-New client task assignment-McAfee agent-Product deployment-New task. The planned time can be adjusted according to the demand. Here is the experimental environment, so select Run Now.

In the New Taskbar, the order of installing packages must be in accordance with this installation. If you want to install web control and Firewall, do the same as this step.

Click Save to wait for the task to run, or run it manually. Open the agent program on McAfee Agent, click Check New Policy, you can see the following interface.

McAfee Agent communicates with EPO every 60 minutes to check if a new policy has been generated.

Then create a product update task on EPO, update virus database to the latest, the operation steps are the same as above, do not repeat, when selecting the task type, just select product update.

When selecting package type, select Endpoint security Exploit Prevention Content and AMCore Content Package.

Finally, upgrade the Agent version, and the interface will change after upgrading.

For product deployment, select McAfee Agent for Windows 5.0.6 and wait for the client update to complete.

Here in the test time, installed web control and Firewall, so here will show three modules, after installation check whether the status is enabled.
