The expiration of the oracle 11g user password prompts an error that the ORA-28001 password expires or the ORA-28002 password will expire. Expired user passwords may cause application connection problems, such as using vcenter with oracle 11g as the database, whose vpx user password expires may cause the vcenter service to fail to run.

The problem of password expiration for oracle 11g users can be solved by changing the user password: alter user * identified by * *, or by changing the password validity date.

How to change the valid date of the password:

1. First check the user's profile, which is usually default

2. Check the password validity settings of the specified profile

3. Change the validity period setting to indefinite

4. Check the password validity setting of the specified profile and modify it successfully.
