Experimental environment: three independent virtual machines, DC domain controller, DNS server and client. The DC domain controller and DNS server have the Windows Server 2008 R2 operating system installed, and the client is Windows 7x64 Ultimate Edition. All three virtual machines use NAT network mode. The IP address of DC domain controller is 192.168.161.101. The IP address of the server is 192.168.161.102 and the IP address of the client is 92.168.161.103. The DNS address is 192.168.161.102.

Change the computer name of the client to Admin

At this time, all three virtual machines are in workgroup mode

First, build a DNS service on the DNS server and create a 17w1.com domain. The specific steps are as follows:

1. Open Server Manager and click add role

4. Confirm the installation selection and click "install".

5. Open the Administrative tool-DNS, create a new domain name for 17w1.com, open the zone creation wizard, and click next.

9. Dynamic updates, this step is critical, select "allow non-secure and secure dynamic updates" and click "next".

2. Set up a domain controller on the DC server. The specific steps are as follows:

9. Name the forest root domain, the FQDN (F) of the forest root domain: fill in "17w1.com" and click "next".

10. The domain NetBIOS name remains "17w1" by default, and click "next".

11. Set the forest function level, keep it by default, and click "next".

13. Pop up "failed to register DNS" to indicate whether you want to continue without installing the DNS server service, and click "Yes".

15. Directory service restore mode administrator password, here we use 123.abc, click "next".

3. Install DC domain service. The specific steps are as follows:

1. Search for "dcpromo", open the "Welcome to the Active Directory Domain Services installation Wizard", check "install using Advanced Mode", and click "next".

4. Name the forest root domain, enter "17w1.com", and click "next".

7. Other domain controllers select other options, uncheck "DNS server" and click "next".

8.DNS registration failed. Do you want to continue without installing the DNS server? Click "Yes".

9. The location of the database, log files, and SYSVOL can be kept by default, and click "next".

10. The administrator password for the directory service restore mode, set here to 123.abc, click "next".

11. For summary information, click "next".

Fourth, join the built DNS server to the 17w.com domain.

First, you need to create a new host A record for DC on the DNS server.
