Mail flow configuration

1. Send connector configuration

The conventional send connector configuration is divided into two situations, one is to throw it to the public network, and the other is to throw it to the mail gateway (at present, all kinds of spam are popular, choose the second way if the budget allows).

The experimental environment is composed of two mailbox role servers (ex01, ex02) and one Edge Transport server (edge). After the Edge Transport subscription is successful, two transport policies of outbound and inbound will be generated automatically.

If there is a third-party independent mail gateway, you can add it through the following steps; if edge transport is used, the following steps can be skipped.

Create a new send connector and define the name

Parse the MX record associated with the recipient through DNS routing, or add a mail gateway.

Create a new address space with a type of SMTP,FQDN and a cost of 1

Select add Source Server

Send connector configuration complete

2. Receive connector configuration

The receive connector has 5 policies by default, which belong to 2 roles

Front end Transport (FrontendTransport): Client Frontend EX01, Default Frontend EX01, Outbound Proxy Frontend EX01

Hub Transport (HubTransport): Client Proxy EX01, Default EX01

The default policy is used in this lab environment.

Client Frontend EX01, role FrontendTransport

Anonymity is allowed

Receive messages from Edge Transport server

The other four policies default.

Client Proxy EX01, role HubTransport

Default EX01, role HubTransport

Default Frontend EX01, role FrontendTransport

Outbound Proxy Frontend EX01, role FrontendTransport

3. Subscription configuration

Log in to the edge server, open EMS, and type

[PS] C:\ Windows\ system32 > New-EdgeSubscription-FileName C:\ EdgeServerSubscription.xml

Generate subscription file

Copy subscription files to Mailbox role server

Import the subscription file on EX01, prompting that the Mailbox role server can resolve to the EDGE server and port 50636.

On ex01 telnet edge server port 50636

Mailbox role server-send connector to automatically generate two inbound and outbound policies

Enable edge subscription

Test edge subscription

4. Mapping and parsing configuration

Official description of the port required for exchange2016

Aliyun configures domain name resolution, which is omitted. The result is as follows

Map port 25 of the Edge Transport server to the external network on the router

5. Mail test

QQ Mail received exchange email

Exchange received QQ Mail's email.
