Shulou(Shulou.com)06/02 Report--

A question about automatic reply was received from 1 user today, and the requirements are as follows:

Whenever the recipient receives the message, it will automatically send an edited reply to the sender, regardless of whether the sender is the same sender or not

We know that both exchange and exchange online have the ability to reply automatically when they go out, but this automatic reply has the following two features:

After entering the email address in the recipient of outlook, this automatic reply appears. This automatic reply only replies to the same sender once (if the same sender sends an email to this user, then only reply this sender once).

From the above description, we understand that the automatic reply function that comes with exchange and exchange online does not meet the needs of users.

So how to achieve the needs of users? We can do this through the rules of outlook, as follows:

1. Open the outlook rule

2. Create a new rule

3. Start with the blank rule, click: apply the rule to the mail I received, and click next

4. At the selection criteria, check: my name is in the recipient or CC box, and click next

5. At the select action, check: the server replies with a specific email, and click: specific email

6. After entering the subject and content of the message, click: save and close

7. Click finish, and the rule creation is complete

After the rule is created, it will be automatically synchronized to OWA. However, the rule cannot be viewed and edited on OWA, and can only be edited through outlook, as shown below:

After this rule is created, the rule takes effect if the user is using Office 365 (regardless of whether the sender is an internal user or an external user).

If the user is a local exchange 2013 user, this rule only takes effect for internal senders, but not for external senders. We need to modify remotedomain-related parameters on EMS, as shown below:

We need to set autoreplyenabled to true (this parameter is enabled by default on office 365exchange online) before the above rule will take effect for external shipments.
