III. Configuration of environmental variables (optional)

This step is not necessary, you do not have to configure it. So why configure it?

Because the command to use mysql on the CMD command console is reported to be unrecognized, you must go to the installation path of mysql, and configure it for convenience.

Right-click "my computer / this computer", click "Properties" and follow the figure below

Select "path", then click "Edit" to put% MYSQL_HOME%\ bin; in the path. Pay attention to the front semicolon.

IV. Connection testing

Test whether the environment variable is in effect. If you use the mysql-u username-p password before configuring the environment variable, it is not recognized. As shown in the following figure, the configuration is successful!

Test 2: this can be tested when you complete step 3, and there is no need to configure environment variables. Use the command console that comes with MySQL to test the connection and find it under all programs. If you can successfully connect, it means that the installation is successful!

Test 3: use a database connection tool such as navicat,sqlyog. If you can successfully connect, it means that the installation is successful!
