In Datastage, Chinese character encoding is usually handled by setting NLS at three levels: project, JOB and stage.

But the JDBC Connector stage component does not have the NLS option, but through the "Properties" tab in stage

"Session"-- > "Character set for non-Unicode columns"-- > "Character set name *" to set

By default, "Character set for non-Unicode columns" is set to default and uses the utf-8 character set

In the Chinese environment, you need to set it to "Custom" and set the sub-option "Character set name *" to the Chinese character set supported by the system. GB18030 is usually used to get the best support for Chinese characters.
