Name the counter instance using the following pattern:

ServiceName@ServiceBaseAddress

Counters within the scope of service are aggregated from counters in the endpoint collection. When you create a new InstanceContext, the performance counter used to create the service instance is incremented. Note that even when you receive an inactive message (through an existing service), or when you connect to an instance from one session, end the session, and then reconnect from another session, a new InstanceContext is created.

Endpoint performance counter

Use the endpoint performance counters to view data that reflects how the endpoint accepts messages. When viewing using performance Monitor, you can find endpoint performance counters under the ServiceModelEndpoint 3.0.0.0 performance object. Name the counter instance using the following pattern:

(ServiceName). (ContractName) @ (endpoint listener address)

Data is similar to data collected for a single operation, but it is only aggregated between endpoints. The WCF service performance counters within the scope of the endpoint are aggregated from the counters in the operation collection.
