Shulou(Shulou.com)05/31 Report--
This article is about how to configure Windows Server 2008 R2 to join domains offline. Xiaobian thinks it is quite practical, so share it with everyone for reference. Let's follow Xiaobian and have a look.
In the domain environment before 2008, when we perform domain addition operations, we must have an available network connection to succeed. However, under Windows server 2008 R2, this operation has been improved. We can use the offline domain addition function of Windows server2008 R2 to create a computer account in advance by using the djoin.exe command in the domain without network connection, and then import the generated text file to the client computer and execute the djoin.exe command to complete the offline domain addition operation.
Adding domains offline enhances the reliability of client join domain operations and reduces the TCO (total cost of ownership) of computers.
This feature can only be implemented on Windows 7 or Windows server 2008R2, as the djoin.exe command can only be run on these two platforms.
You must be at least a member of domain admins to perform this operation.
To perform offline domain addition, you only need to perform the following two steps:
(1) Create client computer accounts in AD in advance and save account information to files
First let's take a look at how the djoin.exe command is used, as shown in the figure
Use the following command to set up your computer account and import it into a text file, as shown
Check the contents of the text file, all characters, as shown in the figure
As shown in the figure, after the command is successfully executed, there is a BJ-PC computer account in the computer.
(2) Import the saved file to the client computer, call the file with the djoin command, and join the computer offline to the domain.
When the client cannot connect to DC, we can manually import the generated account information file to the client computer by using a removable device or CD burning method, and then call the text file. Here, I put the generated bjpc-djoin.txt text file in the C: \share folder, and use the command shown in the figure below to call it, as shown in the figure below.
Add domain offline successfully, as shown in the figure
Note that if a normal domain user wants to add a domain offline, we can modify the domain controller policy, expand Computer Configuration--Policy--Windows Settings--Security Settings--Local Policy--User Permission Assignment--Add Workstation to Domain Option, add relevant domain accounts, and then refresh the policy.
