The solution to the error report of IntelliJ IDE running Tomcat

Because Tomcat turns off JMX function by default, but IDE configured by IntelliJ IDE needs to provide JMX function, so IntelliJ IDE runs Tomcat and reports an error: Unable to ping server at localhost:1099!

The solution:

1. It is troublesome to enable the JMX function for Tomcat.

2. Modify the host file without using the JMX function:

127.0.0.1 localhost [add computer name]

For example, my computer is called Linux, so it is set to

127.0.0.1 localhost Linux
