Main steps:

1) create a nas folder on the vnx, and there is a vm folder in the nas

2) Mount nfs on esxi

3) create block pool and lun on vnx

4) set iscsi connection on vnx-> set port of iscsi and connect vcenter

5) set iscsi connection on venter-> set storage adapter, add a vmkernel and send target (iscsi port of vnx)

6) add datastore to the storage group,vcenter configured with esxi on vnx

7) add datastore to vente

8) storage vmotion

2) vcenter- > select esxi host-> add storage-> choose network file system-> input the nfs server IP, shared folder, datastore name (first time name,etc,A)-> finish.

Then:

Broswe the datastore A-> slect vmx file (vm configuration file) and add to inventory (register this vm with esxi)-> Select data center and esxi hosts-> done, there will be a vm under the view of esxi. The step of mounting a nfs folder on esxi and registering vm is complete.

3) create storage pool or raid group-"Select raid, number of sas disks, number of SSD disks -" cerate lun from the pool/RG- > enter size and lun id- > finish

4) on vnx- > setting- > network, select iscsi type's port (with ip,iqn,mac)-> Select properties to set iscsi's ip, mask, and gateway.

Then:

Vnx- > hosts- > virtualization-> add- "add ip and account password for venter -" complete, with this step, the esxi host can be scanned in 6) below. After all the configuration is complete, you can see venter, esxi, and vm in the virtulazation view.

5) add storage adaptor (add storage adapter)-"modify the adapter properties, add a set vmkernel, and add target server, that is, the vnx iscsi port in the previous step, enter his ip and port 3260, and communicate with vnx's iscsi port through vmkernel -" done-"rescan.

6) create storage group- on vnx > configure sotrage group lun option-"add spa or spb, and low 3) create lun- > configure sg host option -" add esxi Host (ip)-> complete. Through this step, you can find that the storage group of vnx integrates the masking view function in vmax, specifying sp (port) and lun,host (initioator).

Then:

Rescan the new device on esxi's storage adaptor-"add storage- > Select disk/lun". You can see the lun,- > Select File system vmfs-5- > named datastore- "allocate capacity -" added in the previous step, which can be seen in the storage view.

7) storage vmotion

Right button on vm-"Select storage vomotion- > change datastore
