The steps for ARP are as follows:

1) the host of the sender sends an ARP request message, which is broadcast and contains the IP address of the receiver.

2) all hosts on the network will receive the request. They compare the receiver's IP address with their own IP address, and if the same, they respond to the sender with their own physical address included in the response. Or there will be no response.
