Problem analysis: kernel-devel and kernel versions are inconsistent, resulting in errors in driver compilation during the installation of driver rpm.

Solution: check the kernel version number, download the corresponding kernel-devel package online, and run rpm-qa in the instance | grep kernel checks whether the version is consistent. After confirming the version, reinstall the driver.

The Windows instances of gn5 and gn5i are disconnected when installing the official website driver.

Problem analysis: Nvidia limits the graphics function, requires a specific driver and authenticates License.

Solution: currently, the test version of the driver is only available in the specific availability zone (North China 5 and North China 2 availability zone E) to ensure a continuous network, and the validity time of the test driver is 7 − 100days. Certified License is required after 100 days.

Windows graphics do not support features such as DirectX.

Problem analysis: for Windows system, after the installation of GPU driver takes effect, the remote connection (RDP) protocol included in Windows does not support DirectX, OpenGL and other related applications.

Solution: you need to install VNC services and clients, or other supported protocols, such as PCOIP, XenDeskop HDX 3D, etc.

The ga1 instance uses the image of the AMD driver pre-installed in the cloud marketplace, but when entering the Windows device manager, it shows that the GPU driver fails to load normally.

After logging in to the instance, open device Manager, right-click the GPU device name, click Update driver Software, and then select automatically search for updated driver software. Wait for the Windows system to complete the device driver update, restart the system.

Use the AMD-driven image pre-installed in Cloud Marketplace to launch the instance with a blue screen.

Aliyun will update the drivers included in the pre-installed driver image in the cloud market to fix this problem. If you are using an older version of the image, you can avoid this problem by updating the GPU driver.

If you cannot start the instance with a blue screen, you must enter safe mode, uninstall the previous driver, start the Windows system normally, and then install the new version of the GPU driver.

Does GPU instance support Android simulator?

Not supported.

Can I change the configuration of GPU CVM?

Local GPU CVM specification families, such as ga1 and gn5, cannot be changed. Without local GPU CVM instances, you can change their specifications.

Does postpaid GPU CVM support no charge for downtime?
