Shulou(Shulou.com)06/01 Report--
This article shows you what are the easy screenshot methods on the Ubuntu system, the content is concise and easy to understand, it will definitely brighten your eyes. I hope you can get something through the detailed introduction of this article.
I believe you are no stranger to screenshots (or screenshots). On the Windows platform, we can use many third-party professional screenshots, such as SnagIt, to capture screen images. In the Ubuntu system, there are many open source tools to achieve the capture function, and using these tools can make it easy for us to get any screen images we need. Based on Ubuntu desktop 8.10 (i386), GNOME integrated desktop environment.
1. Use keyboard shortcuts to capture pictures
In the GNOME integrated desktop environment, we can use the keyboard function key Print Screen or Alt+Print Screen to capture the picture, the former can capture the image of the whole screen, while the latter can capture the image of the current active window. For example, to capture an image of the entire screen, press the Alt+Print Screen key combination, and the "Save Snapshot" dialog box will pop up soon (figure 1). The dialog box displays the file name of the screenshot and the target path of the image storage (here we use the default storage path). For example, if you click the "copy to Clipboard" button, you can copy the screenshot to the system clipboard and use it in other programs as long as "paste" the past. If you click the "Save" button, the captured screen image will be saved as a file, and the file name will be automatically generated by the system, such as Screenshot.png. Using keyboard shortcuts to capture pictures has the advantage of being fast and convenient, and is suitable for situations where you only need to capture full-screen or an active window image.
two。 Capture pictures with gnome-screenshot
The GNOME integrated desktop environment comes with the gnome-screenshot tool. Under the menu "Application" → "Accessories", find the "capture" item, and click this item to run the "capture" program (figure 2). The "capture" program provides the function to capture the image of the entire desktop or the current active window, and you can set the delay time before the capture. In addition, the screenshot program also supports some simple special effects, such as whether to include mouse arrows, window borders, and whether there are shadow effects or boxes.
It should be pointed out that in the GNOME integrated desktop environment, using the function key Print Screen or key combination Alt+Print Screen to capture the screen image, it is the gnome-screenshot program that is called in the background. Compared with using keyboard shortcuts to capture pictures, the "capture picture" program adds some special effects, which is suitable for users who have specific needs for screenshots.
3. Capture pictures with the map capture function of GIMP.
GIMP is an image processing software comparable to Adobe Photoshop on the Linux platform, and it also has its own screenshot function. Locate the GIMP Picture Editor item under Application → Graphics on the system menu, and click it to run the GIMP program. Find the Screenshot item under the menu "File → Create" in the open GIMP application window, and click it to display the Screenshot window (figure 3).
Use GIMP's Snapshot tool to capture the entire screen or the image of the currently active window or a selected area on the screen. When the user clicks the "grab" button, the captured image automatically appears in the GIMP image editor. We can not only process the captured image directly by using the powerful image editing function of GIMP, but also save the captured image in a certain image file format.
4. Powerful KSnapshot
KSnapshot is a screenshot tool that comes with KDE integrated desktop environment, but it can also be installed and used in GNOME integrated desktop environment. We can install it through the Synaptic package manager or by using the apt-get command. Assuming a command-line installation, open a GNOME terminal window and enter the following command in the terminal window:
Sudo apt-get install ksnapshot
After the command is executed, KSnapshot is downloaded and installed online. After installation, find the "KSnapshot" item under "Application" → "Image" on the menu, and click this item to run the KSnapshot program (figure 4).
KSnapshot is very powerful, providing four screenshot modes: full screen (Full Screen), form under the cursor (Window under cursor), arbitrary area (Region) and form part (Section of Window). Among them, the "form under the cursor" grab mode can grab the form by moving the mouse over an area of the form without activating the form to be grabbed.
In terms of outputting captured images, KSnapshot adds the ability to copy to the clipboard and print directly. KSnapshot should be regarded as a more professional screenshot tool, using KSnapshot can easily capture almost any image on the screen, the author recommends that you install and use this software.
