First, install ESXI 6.0host computer

Now that the virtual machine has been built, install the ESXI host

1. Select bootstrap, standard install standard installation

2. Enter the loading interface after Enter confirmation

3. Enter the welcome page after loading, and Enter will continue.

4. Pre-installation agreement, F11 continues

5. Scan the available installation disk

6. Select disk installation and Enter to continue. I just had a disk hanging on 1T. As shown in the following picture, of course, if you have loaded multiple blocks, you can choose to install the disk.

7. Select the keyboard and Enter to continue

8. Enter the root password and confirm that Enter continues

9. Then start scanning the system, and then confirm before installation to make sure that the information entered before is correct, F11 Install

10. ESXI 6.0starts installation

11. Installation is complete and Enter is restarted

2. Configure ESXI hosts

The system restart is complete. You can see the hardware configuration information in the following figure.

1. ESXI host configuration. Press F2 to enter the root account password to enter the ESXI configuration interface.

Here, I would like to introduce the configuration interface and its meaning.

In the figure above, there is an overview of the configuration on the left and the current configuration options on the right.

Configure Password modifies ESXI host password Configure Lockdown Mode ESXI lock mode configuration. If set to lock mode, you cannot connect to Configure Management Network configuration network through vsphere client. 2. Configure ESXI IP address

3. Configure ESXI DNS and hostname

4. Confirm the configuration. After the configuration is completed, press ESC to exit the configuration page, and yes confirms it.

5. Test whether the configuration is effective. I tested it on Ping ESXI 192.168.1.200 on WIN10 and found that Pingtong was successful!

OK, at this point, the installation and configuration of ESXI has been completed.

3. Install VCSA (I have installed the ESXI host here)

Here I have downloaded the required components

1. Double-click to open VMware-VCSA-all-6.0.0-2562643.iso, you need to install the plug-in before installing VCSA.

2. Enter the vcsa directory and install the plug-in (you need to close the browser ~)

3. Let's install VCSA.

Right-click-open the html file in an IE browser (my chrome and firefox do not recognize the html file)

4. Install VCSA (need to configure some information)

Click install, license agreement, and check next.

(2) enter the ESXI host IP address and FQDN to ensure that you do not enter lock and maintenance mode (if there is no FQDN, enter IP)

(3) set up the vcsa virtual machine, and enter the ip and password of the virtual machine

(4), choose the type of vcsa deployment, then generally embedded installation of vcsa and platform services controller. Of course, unless your environment is relatively large, you can choose to install it separately from the outside.

(5) set Single Sign-On (SSO). Note that the domain set here is required for administrator login, and the login format is: administrator@sso_domain.xxx.

(6) Select the device size, which specifies how many ESXI and virtual machines you need to deploy. Of course, if you can afford the hardware, you can do whatever you want.

(7) Select data storage. The data storage here is the size of the ESXI host storage pool that I mapped earlier.

(8) configuration database, small environment configuration vPostgres is enough. If it is a large company, it is estimated that it will build a separate oracle database for use.

(10) confirmation information

(11) start installing vcsa host. The installation time here depends on your hardware configuration.

After a long wait. The installation of the vcsa host is finally completed, with a life span of 60 days.

4. Add ESXI hosts

1. Log in to the vcsa web client interface (here there is a problem with Chinese in chrome browser, but there is no problem with firefox)

2. The vmware vSphere web client page is displayed in front of us.

3. Add the ESXI host (192.168.1.240) below

Open the cluster of hosts and create a new data center, because the ESXI host is added to the data center ~

4. OK, add ESXI hosts to the data center after adding the data center

Note here:

If your ESXI environment does not have high security requirements, then set to disable lock mode, if you do not disable, then in the later process can not be connected to the ESXI host through vsphere client (you can use the web page), by connecting the monitor to the Server. It is convenient for me to set it to disabled mode.

5. If you add it at last, you can succeed ~

6. Check the vCenter list list to see the data center (hongxue-datacenter) under the list and the ESXI host (192.168.1.240) and the VCSA (192.168.1.145-vcsa) under the ESXI host.

5. Create a centos7 virtual machine (you need to upload an ISO image in memory before creation)

1. Click the memory in the navigation bar

I created an ISO folder in this file to upload files (my browser has a problem with plug-in support here). I upload the iso file of centos7 through winscp ~

3. Upload the image file to the ESXI CVM (remember to allow the ssh protocol in the ESXI CVM before uploading the image), and wait for the upload to be completed. The path of the ESXI CVM is shown in the rectangle in the following figure.

4. After the upload is completed, continue to open the ESXI host and create a new virtual machine

5. Create a new virtual machine

Select data center, ESXI host, select storage, compatibility (6.0here), ISO image, and edit virtual machine configuration

6. After the creation is completed, boot and install OS
