This paper talks about several links that need to be paid attention to in data center construction. However, the situation that the optical fiber joint is easily disturbed by dust is ignored, and the general construction and installation environment is always unsatisfactory, so it is very likely that in the optical fiber testing stage, the optical fiber attenuation tends to be larger, in fact, the optical fiber attenuation is mostly dust, as long as the dust is wiped clean, it will be no problem, and the MPO-LC optical fiber module box is the most easily affected by dust. Because it generally consists of 2 MPO/MTP fiber connectors and 24 LC fiber connectors, the more the number, the greater the chance of being stained with dust. In fact, the most effective and quick way to remove dust is to use × × to clean the dust on the optical fiber joint, but it is also impossible to achieve the conditions of the construction site. After Rosenberg has developed a unique dust removal and wiping tool, it can enter the internal cleaning optical fiber end face directly through the adapter without opening the module box, the dust can be eliminated, and the optical fiber attenuation test value can be installed into the normal test value.
In addition to the dust impact caused by the above-mentioned non-standard construction process, there is another way that often leads to greater attenuation, and it is easy to be ignored, and that is the testing link. During the continuous testing of the test jumper connection, the end face of the test jumper is prone to stain, and the test jumper with dirty end face is easy to contaminate the end face of the tested optical fiber connector, resulting in a substantial increase in attenuation. For this part, according to the experience, the author suggests that the engineer in charge of the test should test the end face of the test jumper every three times and clean the end face of the test jumper on dust-free paper, so as not to affect the tested jumper and cause the test to fail. 2, the label of negligent links in the data center integrated wiring identification system is quite necessary, a considerable scale of data center, there are several kilometers or even dozens of kilometers of cable and optical cable shuttle between the rack and the cabinet, there are a large number of jumpers, wiring racks, so it is necessary to accurately record and identify every cable, every jumper, every distribution frame and every cabinet / rack. In fact, marking for jumpers, wiring racks and cabinets / racks is relatively easy to do. The author finds that what is easy to neglect in marking is that for each cable in the bridge frame, the general construction method is to sort out and tie up the cables, which is finished. Basically, there is no detailed identification of each segment of cable. At most, it is marked at both ends of the cable, but the middle part of the cable is not properly marked. This will leave hidden dangers to the follow-up maintenance and management, and it is better to mark the cables every 3-6 meters so that they can be identified during subsequent maintenance and upgrade to prevent mistakes. After all, for the data center, the expansion and upgrade of the data center is inevitable in the future, so it is particularly important to identify the middle of the cable.
3. The bridges in the data center of jumpers for negligent links are basically open bridges, so in order to successfully pass the acceptance of optical and copper cables in an open environment, the integrators often arrange the optical cables and copper cables beautifully and pleasing to the eye, but compared with the more hidden optical jumpers and copper jumpers in the cabinet, before finally inserting the jumper into the network equipment in the cabinet, the builders It will be treated carelessly, and it will generally be left in the cabinet or on the cabinet at will. because the construction in a cabinet or on the cabinet not only needs to put jumpers, but also needs to be connected to the wiring frame, binding, labeling, cable management, and so on, it is easy for the construction staff not to see that there are jumpers in the cabinet or on the cabinet, and accidentally step on the jumper, so it is easy to fail in the performance test. A better way is to tie the extra jumper to the open bridge and put it in the cabinet in time when the jumper is needed.
Conclusion: as a good data center integrated cabling construction, it is not only necessary to put the optical cable and copper cable cloth in place.
