Some time ago, a customer uninstalled the locally installed Office and installed the Office365 client online. after the installation, the password prompt for the Office365 account could not be activated normally. I would like to share with you the whole troubleshooting process.

First, let's take a look at what happens. The office client downloaded from Office365's portal cannot be activated after entering the username and password.

Open the command line tool as an administrator

The Office client is 32-bit, so let's change to the following directory

Use cscript ospp.vbs / dstatus to check the last five bits of Key

Delete all product keys using the command cscript ospp.vbs / unpkey:VMFTK (please change this value to the Key you saw earlier)

Then check to see if there is a historical key

Then go to the Control Panel and delete all Office credentials in the credential Manager

Then open any Office client and click to log in

Enter the user name and password and log in

Then you can complete the Office client login

Then you can activate normal use.
