A 64-bit domain controller is recommended.

Memory:

Mailbox Role: Minimum 8GB

Edge Transport Role: Minimum 4GB

Processor:

Computers based on x64 architecture use Intel processors and support Intel 64 architecture, which is the best processor to support.

AMD processors that support AMD64 platform

Intel Itanium IA64 processor is not supported

Supported clients:

Outlook 2016

Outlook 2013 SP1 or later with KB3020812

Outlook 2010 SP2 with KB2956191 and KB2965295

Outlook for Mac 2011

Depending on the Exchange Server role you install, you can install different Windows Server operating system components on the server.

Coexistence:

Exchange 2010: all Exchange 2010 role servers, including Edge Transport, should be SP3 RU11 or later.

Exchange 2013: all Exchange 2013 role servers, including Edge Transport, should be CU10 or later.

There should be no Exchange 2007 in the environment.
