Preface

People who have used intelligent DNS know that in order to improve the efficiency of website access, we will analyze many different ip sub-regions and sub-operators.

However, CloudXNS will tell you with actual evaluation that the flexible configuration of multi-IP is much more than you know. Let's take a look at how to make your multi-IP domain name configuration easy in CloudXNS systems.

1: the well-known configuration analysis of sub-regions and sub-operators

Unlike most intelligent DNS you have seen, CloudXNS is the world's first free intelligent DNS resolution platform whose resolution lines are finely divided to provinces and municipalities in China, and accurate to some countries overseas, and the resolution records can take effect globally in half a second.

This part is generally used and tested, so I won't repeat it here. If you encounter inaccurate parsing, please report back to Weibo @ CloudXNS or customer service QQ (800081044). (however, since CloudXNS has been running for more than two years, there have been no questions and complaints in this respect, so you can rest assured to use it.)

2: custom private line resolution

Private lines, as the name implies, are customized by users, which many friends may not have heard of. Many intelligent DNS platforms in China have similar features, but they are basically used in the most expensive packages. We are the only intelligent DNS in the country that offers a free trial of private line resolution.

Private lines are based on the EDNS mechanism (see RFC 2671) and support edns-subnet-client. It is up to the webmaster to customize the ip segment to which the private line belongs, and then the resolution result of the users of the ip segment who visit your website is the private line resolution configuration. Don't say much, let the editor teach you to test it!

First, you need to apply for a private line on the private line configuration page and wait for the administrator to pass, and then configure your private line IP segment. After configuration, as shown in the figure:

After the above preparations are done, you need to go back to the "Private Line" column on the home page of domain name management and click "Open". When the blue "Open" button turns to a gray "close" button, it means that the domain name has enabled the private line function. As shown in the figure:

After the function is enabled, you can configure private line domain name resolution, and the "Custom Line" label can be seen at the bottom of the line type column on the panel that is parallel to the operator. As shown in the figure:

After all the above configuration, you can begin to test the accuracy of private lines.

Test 1: set the IP segment of private line to 1.1.1.1-1.1.1.1, configure the domain name www.chinatesters.cn to record A record 9.9.9.9 by default, and record www.cloudxns.net from custom line to CNAME. Use the dig command that supports edns-subnet-client to verify the following:

Test 2: set the IP segment of the private line to 192.168.100.90-192.168.100.200, configure the domain name www.chinatesters.cn to record 9.9.9.9 by default to A record, and customize the line to record www.cloudxns.net to CNAME. If you use the client whose IP is 192.168.100.154 to configure the local DNS to 192.168.100 private network DNS and visit the website www.chinatesters.cn, you will find that you are visiting the official CloudXNS website.
