Today we deploy instance and verify the connectivity of the flat network.

Launch's new instance "cirros-vm1", the network chooses falt_net.

The IP assigned to cirros-vm1 is 172.16.1.3.

The cirros-vm1 is schedule to the control node, and its virtual network card is also connected to the br-int.

The connection between virtual network card and br-int is the same as that of local network, so I won't repeat it.

Continue to launch instance cirros-vm2 in the same way, with an assigned IP of 172.16.1.4.

The cirros-vm2 is schedule to the compute node, and the virtual network card is connected to the br-int.

Because there is no hdcp service on the compute node, there is no corresponding tap device. The current structure of flat_net is as follows:

Cirros-vm1 (172.16.1.3) and cirros-vm2 (172.16.1.4) are on different nodes and are connected through flat_net. The connectivity is verified below.

Ping 172.16.1.3 in the cirros-vm2 console.

As we expected, ping was a success.
