It is believed that how to connect to the windows server remotely is a very simple matter for friends who have used the windows server, but many beginners do not understand why and why to mount the local disk to the windows server. So today, Dr. Zhao, the housekeeper of Xingyun, will teach you how to mount the local disk to the windows server.

First: why mount the local disk on the windows server? This is to facilitate the uploading of local files to the windows server. The relatively backward mode of windows file transfer is to upload and download files through ftp, but ftp has some disadvantages, such as complex operation, slow transfer speed, unstable operation and so on. If we hang the local disk directly on the windows server, we only need to open the remote desktop for each file transfer and upload the file to the specified directory of the windows server by dragging and copying.

Windows server mount disk is divided into two types, the first is to mount the local disk, it is obvious that this method can only be used normally when the local computer is on and the network is normal. If the user changes to a new device, it cannot be used normally. This method has great limitations in operation and is not suitable for team cooperation. Now the mainstream way is to mount the network cloud disk or the newly purchased network disk from the cloud manufacturer on the windows server. Next, I will explain these two methods in detail.

One: Mount the local disk to the windows server

Windows + R to open the running window, enter mstsc

Enter the remote ip address, user name, password, and then click options

3. Click the local resource, and then click the details

Check the local disk to be displayed on the server. The author selects disk D and disk E, and then selects OK to connect.

5. After the connection is successful, turn on the server computer and you will find that there are two more disks, which are the local disks

Second: Mount the newly purchased disk of the network cloud disk to the windows server

Now all the major network disks have been charged, and the price of new disks purchased from cloud manufacturers is relatively high, so here we use the 1G host network disk given away by Bank Cloud Housekeeping, which is also free of charge.

When users register and import the CVM, a 1G host network disk is automatically provided to each host. During the remote connection to the windows server, the network disk will be mounted as the logical disk of the server to facilitate the user to transfer files (RDP File transfer Protocol).

The mounting process of the host network disk is automatically completed by the bank cloud butler, which does not require manual configuration by the user. More importantly, the host network disk and the user's windows server provided by the bank cloud butler are in the same private network of the same cloud manufacturer, while transferring files through the private network can have gigabit network bandwidth, which is especially suitable for transferring large files and uploading bulk files.

We know that in the process of file transfer, if we transfer through the public network, it will obviously be limited by the public network bandwidth, which will not only compete with the business system for valuable public network bandwidth resources, but also seriously affect the server performance. By deploying the host network disk in the same private network of the server, and taking full advantage of the gigabit bandwidth of the private network of cloud vendors, users can get the experience of "extremely fast file transfer" at the peak rate of 10~30Mbps (i.e. 1.25MB~3.75MB) without occupying the public network bandwidth of the user's server.
