The recovery point is stored in the Recovery Services repository. This article details how to enable backup when creating a virtual machine (VM) in the Azure portal.

1. First log in to the Azure portal portal.azure.com

You can accept the default policy, or you can create or select another backup policy. "to edit the backup policy, select the backup policy and change the value."

The following core images published by Microsoft are supported to enable backup during VM creation. For other VM, you can enable backup after you create the VM.
