The GooglePixel series is known for its excellent photo processing capabilities and was the first to receive Android updates. This month, Google announced that it will release "Pixel Function Reduction" features on a quarterly basis, including new features and improvements to the Android 10-powered Pixel unit. But here, there are still nearly three weeks to update. According to Android police, some Pixel users complain that they have never received an update. As you may recall, last month, the owner of Pixel 4 had a problem receiving the November update.

For Pixel users who were unable to receive December updates, they missed the monthly security patch, fixed some bugs and problems specific to some Pixel models, and downgraded the functionality for the first time. Google has previously said that when entering settings, system, advanced, system updates and checking for updates, Pixel users will always get the latest version no matter where the device is in the queue. However, when a Pixel 3 XL user complained to Google last week that he did not receive an update in December, he got the answer: "the update will be released in phases and you will be notified as soon as it is received. Thank you for your patience."

Pixel users who did not receive the December security update are eager to add many new features. Including improved memory management, so Pixel phones can open more applications at the same time. Another feature is that you can add blur to the processed photos even if you have been using them for many years. With this update, users of the video chat app Duo can blur the background as needed, and the camera can always keep them in the center of the frame even if they move.

The next update to the pixel security and functionality patch will be completed in less than two weeks. The next feature downgrade is not expected until early March next year.
