Prometheus + Grafana is introduced in CDSW1.7 and later versions to provide a visual Dashboard to monitor how each Pod in CDSW uses the cluster's CPU/GPU, memory, and storage resources. Prometheus is an internal timing data source that automatically records the usage data of each deployment resource in CDSW. Grafana is a visual monitoring dashboard that allows you to customize your own monitoring charts. CDSW has provided 3 Grafana Dashboards:K8 Cluster,K8s Container and K8 Node by default, and more custom monitoring charts can be created through the basic monitoring dashboard provided. This document describes how to view and use Grafana.

2.1 Grafana monitoring interface

2.2 K8s Containers Dashboard

View the resource usage of a single pod (can correspond to the Session started by CDSW)
2.3 K8s Node Dashboard
Enter the Dashboard interface of K8s Node. The monitoring dashboard mainly provides monitoring of the resource usage of all Node nodes in the CDSW cluster (which can be understood as server-level resource usage monitoring), including CPU, memory, disk, network, etc.
2.4 K8s Cluster Dashboard
Enter the Dashboard interface of K8s Cluster, which mainly provides monitoring of resource usage at all NameSpace levels of K8s Cluster (you can see resource usage at user level through this Dashboard)
Specify Namespace (default-user- {userid} this type of Namespace is user-level monitoring)
2.5 Custom Dashboard
1. Create a custom Dashboard

4. Enter the chart editing interface, select the data source and enter the query statement to complete the construction of the chart.
5. Click the save button in the upper right corner to save the built chart to the custom Dashboard.
Grafana, a new feature of 1.CDSW1.7.x, can well monitor the use of resources on CDSW, including system services and user usage.
2.Grafana supports the configuration of alarms, which can be configured for the dashboard. Alarms will be triggered when the threshold is triggered.
