Today, I received a question from the customer about what impact it will have on the customer if you change the server address, and what configuration you need to do if you want to change the server address, so let's talk about what you need to do to change the NSM address today.

About the method of changing NSM address

1 the first step is to confirm whether an address has been defined for NSM:

a. Open the folder on the server.

b. Locate the tms.bat file under\ App\ bin.

c. Right-click the file and select Edit.

d. Verify that there is no IP address defined for the SNMP IP address.

e. Search string: Dlumos.fixedManagerSNMPIPaddress

f. The string should look like this:

-Dlumos.fixedManagerSNMPIPaddress = ""

If an IP is followed, delete the IP address and save the changes.

two。 If GUI access control is configured, add a new IP network:

a. Select Manager, installer, GUI access, login control.

b. Add a new IP network or address to manage NSM from GUI.

3. Change the IP address on NSM:

a. In the Manager system tray, click the Network Security Platform icon and select stop Manager.

b. "in the Manager system tray, click the Network Security Platform icon and select stop the user interface."

c. Change the IP address of the host operating system on NSM to the desired value.

d. Open the\ APP\ Apache\ conf\ httpd.conf file in the selected text editor and change the entry:

Change listen:80 to listen:80

e. Open\ App\ Apache\ conf\ iv_ssl.conf and modify the following entry: the method is the same as above

Change listen: 443 to listen: 443

Change listen: 444 to listen: 444

f. Click the Network Security Platform system tray icon and select Startup Manager.

g. Click the Network Security Platform system tray icon and select start the user interface.

h. Update the NSM shortcut on the NSM desktop and update the DNS record with the new IP address.

4. If you do not perform step 2 and find that GUI access has been denied, perform the following steps to regain GUI access:

a. On NSM, open a command prompt.

b. Type cd\\ MySQL\ bin and press ENTER.

c. Log in to the MySQL command prompt:

Type mysql-uroot-p lf and press ENTER.

When prompted, enter the MySQL root password.

d. From iv_emsproperties, type select * with the name'% iv.access.control.enabled%'; then press the ENTER key.

If the result is TRUE, run the following query:

Type update iv_emsproperties set value = 'FALSE', where the name is'% iv.access.control.enabled%';, and then press ENTER.

e. Type exit, and then press ENTER.

f. Restart the NSM service.

g. Log in to NSM Manager.

h. Select Manager, installer, GUI access, login control.

Add new configurations or IP ranges as needed.

5. Change the manager IP address on the sensor.

Important: the following actions are performed on each IDS/IPS

a. Open a command line console session for each IDS.

b. Type desinstall and press ENTER.

c. Type the following command and press enter:

Set manager ip xxxx

Where xxxx is the new IP address of Network Security Platform Manager.

d. Type set sensor sharedsecretkey, enter the key that was previously used when IDS communicated with the control server, and then press the ENTER key.

At this point, the sensor will contact the manager of the new address, negotiate the connection and upload any new alerts.
