2. Specific configuration:

Step 1: node 1, add a hard drive. Select to create a new virtual disk.

Step 2: be sure to choose the setting mode of thick setting zero, otherwise the virtual machine will report an error.

Note: select the new virtual device node and ensure that node 2 is consistent with the scsi device selected by node 1 shared disk. Here Node 1 selects scsi (1:0)

Note: independence is not recommended in the mode. Because NBU has clearly written in the VMWare manual that it does not support the backup of virtual machines with independent vmdk.

Step 3: new SCSI controller, bus sharing default "none" (changed to physical)

Step 4: node 2 adds a hard drive. Use an existing virtual disk.

Step 5: node 2, select the same SCSI (1:0) as node 1, the device node.

Step 6:

The diskmark added for node 1 and node 2. Select the added disk selection option-Advanced-General-Parameter configuration, add lines, and mark the multi-writer tag. Do it once per disk.

Step 7:

RAC virtual machine node is recommended to be placed on different hosts, so you need to configure DRS.

Right-click cluster editing, rules-New, separate virtual machine, select virtual machine.

After the above implementation is complete, you need to test it:

(1) whether the boot of dual computers is successful

(2) whether the system will migrate automatically if two nodes are migrated to one host (DRS rule).
