Dependent environment

Yum install gcc gdbm gdbm-devel rrdtool rrdtool-devel libtool libpcap libpcap-devel subversion-y

Need to compile and install GeoIP-1.4.8, Python-2.7.4, setuptools-0.6c11, Mako-0.8.0, ntop5.0.1

1) GeoIP

Tar zxvf GeoIP.tar.gzcd GeoIP-1.4.8/./configuremake & & make install

2) Python

Tar zxvf Python-2.7.4.tgzcd Python-2.7.4./configure-- enable-sharedmake & & make installmake clean & & make distclean

3) setuptools

Tar zxvf setuptools-0.6c11.tar.gzcd setuptools-0.6c11python setup.py buildpython setup.py install

4) Mako

Tar zxvf Mako-0.8.0.tar.gzcd Mako-0.8.0python setup.py buildpython setup.py install

5) ntop

Tar zxvf ntop-5.0.1.tar.gzcd ntop-5.0.1./autogen.sh-prefix=/usr/local/ntop-with-tcpwrapmake & & make install

Configuration

Groupadd ntop/ / create ntop group useradd-M-s / sbin/nologin-g ntop ntop/ / create users belonging to ntop group ntopchown-R ntop.ntop / usr/local/ntop/share/ntop / / modify the owner user and group chown-R ntop.ntop / usr/local/ntop/var/ntop/ modify the ntop database directory owner user and group cd / usr/local/ntop/bin./ntop-A / / set the admin password

Start ntop, add to boot boot

/ usr/local/ntop/bin/ntop-d-L-u ntop-P / usr/local/ntop/var/ntop-- skip-version-check-- use-syslog=daemon-w 3000echo "/ usr/local/ntop/bin/ntop-d-L-u ntop-P / usr/local/ntop/var/ntop-- skip-version-check-- use-syslog=daemon-w 3000 > / dev/null 2 > & 1" > > / etc/rc.d/rc.local

After the configuration is complete, after running ntop, you can access the web interface of ntop through http://IP:3000.
