Migrating Data ONTAP 8.1.2 7-Mode to ONTAP 9.1 is in the compatibility list.

1.4 Migration setup steps

Open the 7MTT tool and select the middle ccopy-based transition

Fill in the management address and username password of netapp 7mode and c mode respectively

Check the volumes to be migrated

Create the famous project cars for this migration

Set the ip address used to transfer data

Select aggregation and other information on the destination side

Create a transmitted Schedule

Define the policy for this schedule.

Select the configuration to be migrated

Click run precheck to pre-check if there is a problem. Then make more error reports and modify them accordingly.

Start baseline transfer (first replication)

Click apply configuration to synchronize the relevant configuration

Finally, choose whether to offline the source volume. Enable volumes on new storage
