1. Direct connection route-The network configured on the router interface will automatically generate routes from the router's own interface. For example, if an interface of a router is configured with IP address 192.168.1.1/24, then the router will automatically generate route 192.168.1.0/24 to this interface. As long as the interface is in the physical up state, this route will always exist. It is identified by the letter C (Connected).

2. Static route--Use commands to configure routes in the router, and the source is manually input by the user. As long as the command does not disappear, the route will remain. It is identified by the letter S (Static).

3. Dynamic routing-routes learned through dynamic routing protocols, such as RIP, EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, etc., originating from other routers on the network that are neighbors to the router. As long as this neighbor exists, the route will exist. The letters identify the routing protocols differently.

(1) OSPF routing protocol

O E1 and O E2 are routes outside the autonomous system.

O E1 --if the command metric-type 1 is used in redistribution routing is O E1

O E2--For example, redistributing EIGRP to OSPF defaults to O E2.

Difference between OE1 and OE2:

OE1 is METRIC from the external system to the internal system.

OE2 is METRIC that only calculates the internal system.
