Vlan network is a network with tag.

Under the implementation of Open vSwitch, the virtual network cards of different vlan instance are connected to the br-int.

This is very different from linux bridge, where different vlan are connected to different bridges.

In our experimental environment, the physical Nic that sends and receives vlan data is eth2, and multiple vlan can be used on it.

So the port connected to eth2 on the physical switch should be set to trunk mode instead of access mode.

Enable vlan network in ML2 configuration

Set vlan network related parameters in / etc/neutron/plugins/ml2/ml2_conf.ini

Tenant_network_types = vlan

Specifies that the network type created by an ordinary user is vlan.

Then specify the range of the vlan:

The above configuration defines a vlan network,vlan id with a label of "default" in the range of 3001-4000.

This scope is for ordinary users to create network in their tenants.

Because the average user cannot specify that vlan id,Neutron will automatically take values from this range in order when creating a network.

There is no restriction on vlan id for admin, and admin can create a vlan network with an id range of 1-4094.

Next, you need to indicate the correspondence between the vlan network and the physical network:

As shown above: lable "default" is defined in [ml2_type_vlan]

[ovs] indicates that the Open vSwitch bridge corresponding to default is br-eth2 through bridge_mappings.

The function of the label here is the same as the label in the previous flat network, except as an indication, which can be any string.

We need to get the ovs-ovctl command in advance:

Create a br-eth2.

Bridge the physical network card eth2 to the br-eth2.
