SAP SD Basics Special Business Transactions

1. Rush Orders

Urgent orders and cash sales are types of sales vouchers used in the sales process from the factory or when customers need to get their goods immediately from the warehouse.

In the sales voucher type of immediate delivery, immediate delivery flag and delivery type LF are set; when we save an urgent order, the system automatically creates a delivery type LF.

Once the goods have been removed from the warehouse, picking and billing can begin.

When we create Billing vouchers (e.g. in centralized processing), the system prints invoices and sends them to customers.

Cash Sales

In cash sales sales voucher type, immediate delivery flag and delivery type BV are configured; when we save cash sales voucher, the system automatically creates a delivery type BV and prints a voucher that can be used as an invoice to the customer.

We control invoices with output type RD03, which is included in the output determiner for order type BV.

Once the goods have been removed from the warehouse, picking and billing can begin.

An order-related Billing list is automatically generated, which updates the Due Billing list when processing expires

Billing type BV is created when billing, invoices are not printed in Billing.

III. Consignments

In consignment processing, goods are delivered to the customer but the company retains ownership until they are actually used. An invoice is not created until the customer removes the goods from the consignment stock, until which time the customer has the right to return the consignment goods.

We can use the special inventory partner function if consignment inventory is managed at a centralized point rather than by a sold-to party.

Consignment Fill-up and Issue

We process consignment replenishment with order type KB; the shipment creates a special inventory at the customer; however, the goods are still in the delivery factory's evaluation inventory; the transaction will not be billed because the consignment inventory retains our company's ownership;

Consignment shipments are processed with order type KE; customer special inventory and delivery plant inventory are reduced when goods are released; the transaction is related to Billing.

Consignment Pick-up and Returns

If the customer returns, we can process it with voucher type KR (consignment return); the consignment stock we keep with the customer is added after the shipment is posted, and a credit voucher is generated based on the consignment return.

If we want to cancel a consignment shipment, we can describe it as an order type KA (consignment pick-up). This transaction is to transfer special customer inventory back to own general inventory at the time of shipment. As with consignment replenishment, this transaction has nothing to do with Billing.

Free of Charge and Subsequent Deliveries

We create a free delivery voucher, for example, when we want to send samples to our customers. We enter a follow-up free delivery voucher, for example, when we need to deliver an order because of a complaint.

The configuration of the sales voucher type SD determines that the transaction requires one of the aforementioned vouchers, and all copy controls associated with the aforementioned voucher that may be used must be established. For example, copy control from RE to SD.

By activating the delivery block in the sales voucher type, we ensure that free deliveries and subsequent free deliveries are not released until they have been checked by the relevant employee. If the employee decides that the delivery should not occur, he/she can maintain the relevant reason for the rejection in the sales voucher.

In the configuration of item categories, we decide that items in sales voucher types FD and SD are free (e.g. KLN or KLX), and we can also define the pricing and Billing behavior of these items.
